Shipping

We use Australia Post as our mail carrier, please refer to their website for updates on their estimated delivery times. Australia Post is especially impacted by the COVID-19 Pandemic.

How much is shipping?
Shipping is automatically calculated during checkout in our online shop using the Australia Post shipping rates.

How long does it take for my order to be shipped?
We process orders in order of receipt, and processing time can vary between 2-5 business days depending on the volume of orders we are receiving. Choosing to use Express Post will not make your parcel a priority in our order processing stage. If there is some urgency to your order, please add a note in the comments box during checkout and we will try to speed it up in the system. When orders are shipped, you will receive email tracking updates automatically from Australia Post.

Please Note:
• Check your address carefully when placing an order. If an order is returned to sender due to an incorrect address that you have entered, we will contact you for the correct address. We will also charge you the postage costs of resending the parcel.
• For international orders, we recommend you request Signature on Delivery and Insurance on your order which is based on the value of the order.
• If you do not request Signature on Delivery or Insurance, we cannot be responsible for any loss or damage to your package as it is at your own risk.

Returns and exchanges

Our returns policy is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law because we want you to be happy with your purchase. Please read the following carefully to ensure you are fully aware of your rights under this policy and our obligations to you.

Defective items – Return within 30 days of purchase, we will provide a full refund and pay for return shipping
Tools and notions – Return within 30 days of purchase, we will provide a full refund and the customer will pay for return shipping. Items must be in original packaging and in original condition.
Cut fabric – Return within 14 days of purchase, we will provide a full refund less 15% restocking fee. Items must be in original condition – clean, folded, with no smells or stains.
Books, patterns, or sale items – No returns or exchanges are available on these items.

Ordering Options

We have a quite simple ordering system on our website, which offers several payment and shipping options. You can set up an account or checkout without an account as a guest, however, no history is kept. Setting up an account is the preferred way to shop at our store.

We no longer take orders over the phone as there is too much room for error. You can, however, email your needs and we can create an account for you and place an order for you in our system and email you an invoice for payment.

Order Confirmation: Within a few minutes of lodging your order via our online shop, you will receive an email from Teddys Bits acknowledging receipt of your order.

Can I make changes to my order once it is placed?
Additions or alterations to orders are not possible once an order is placed. Cancellations are only possible if your order has not been shipped.

Payment

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept the following payment methods:
• PayPal (in Australian dollars) – PayPal accepts a few different credit cards including Visa & Mastercard.
• Direct Bank Deposit (Australia only)
• International Payments – can be made by PayPal for accepted countries.

Is it safe to use my Credit Card at your shop?
We use PayPal, which is one of the worlds most recognised and safe methods of credit card payment. All credit card information is transmitted via secure industry-standard 1024-bit SSL encryption provided by PayPal.
Credit card details are used only for the processing of a payment and are never stored in our database.

I still do not want to put my credit card details over the internet; can I call you with them?
Select Pay over the Phone as your payment method when you check out, and we will call you within 48 hours to discuss payment.

Workshop Bookings

A 50% of the course cost is required as a deposit when booking a class. This will be refunded or transferred if the class cannot go ahead. Deposits may be refunded if you cancel your booking with at least 10 days’ notice. Deposits cannot be transferred or refunded if you cancel a booking within this period (regrettably even in the case of illness) as we are committed to run the class for others who have already bought their supplies and teachers that have been pre-booked.

Unless otherwise stated, in any classes using sewing machines, it is assumed you have a working knowledge of your own machine and all the parts required for that class. Please check that you have the power cords when you pack.

Times and dates of classes may be subject to change. All classes are offered in good faith. A minimum class size must be reached before any class can go ahead.

Please check with us 7 days before the class is due to start.

You may not resell the patterns, tutorials, or any portion thereof. You may make items using the patterns, and you may sell those items in small handmade runs (not mass produced), but you may not resell the patterns. You may not alter Teddys Bits patterns or other guest Designers patterns viewed or sold on this site and claim them as your own patterns. Any reproduction or sharing of these copyrighted patterns, instructions, photographs, or design is strictly prohibited.

Digital Downloads

For digital pattern purchases, your files will be available to download once payment is confirmed. You will be able to access an instant download link after checkout. You will also be emailed a link to the email you use at checkout.

Please remember to double check your email that it is accurate prior to completing your purchase.

Please save your email receipts with the download link to be able to access in the future, in the event your download goes missing.

Wholesale

Do you sell at wholesale prices?
We are an online retail store only and we keep our pricing as low as possible but do not offer any wholesale prices.

Pre-orders or Special Orders

Looking for products not stocked or special orders?
If you are looking for something that is not listed on the site, please email us and we will do our best to assist you.

Please allow 6-8 weeks for shipping notifications from the time of your order. Products will not be in our hands for 4-6 weeks, and please allow 2 weeks for us to pack and ship your order.

Gift Cards

Gift cards are available for purchase for $10-100. After gift card purchase, an email will be sent to the email listed at checkout with a code and instructions for how to redeem it.
